I give God thanks with my whole heart, Before others, I sing His praise; As His Word my lips do impart, Abide what His command conveys. I worship at His Holy place, In giving thanks as I proclaim; For the steadfast love in His grace, And faithfulness into His name. His truth exalted from above, All things in His name and His Word; Strength for my soul comes from His love, From all I have seen and have heard. All earthly kings shall give Him thanks, They have heard His Word from His lips; Holds more wealth than all of the banks, Mightier than all the warships. We shall sing the ways of the Lord, Because of His glory is great; And we must walk in one accord, All that He did to appreciate. For even though the Lord is high, He has respect for the lowly; But the haughty and proud deny, He considers them unholy. Though I walk in amongst trouble, He preserves my life with His hand; As He pulls me from the rubble, Puts me on solid rock to stand. The Lord will fulfill His purpose, In me with grace and steadfast love; For guiding me with His compass, Forever enduring thereof. Copyright ©2023 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
