I  Wonder

As the melancholy evening curtains fall,
I try to fight back these silent shadows of
sadness that dance on my garden wall.

Loneliness overtakes my weary soul,
as another day takes its gruesome toll.
Down the dark spiral staircaseof despair,
my mind wanders amidst memories of
yesteryear.
Places and faces of people
I once knew…
now quickly fading into that
distant cosmic blue.

Once around, we’ve all been sent…
but I can’t keep from wondering
where it all went.

Time…
Just dust in the wind?
