Dark, brooding clouds
hanging low
in the stillness of the night.
The wind, gearing up
its' speed,
spelling danger for others.
The cloud grows
heavier and heavier
As a drop of rain
splatters on the ground.
The pace picking up
after each drop
of the rain.
The wind
disturbing
the stillness
of the night.
Suddenly a lightning
bolts to the ground,
shaking the unsuspecting earth.
The ground,
flooded with rain.
The lightning,
tearing through
the rushing air.
The clouds
growing lighter and lighter
as the wind
slowed down.
The lightning,
reducing to a low boom.
The raindrops
falling lightly.
And the world
was innocent again.
