Lord, who shall abide in thy church?
Where should I begin my search?
Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
We need one for the shoes to fill;
He that speaks the truth in his heart,
Will always be true and never part;
He that backbites not with his tongue,
Speaks truth from songs that are sung;
Nor doeth evil against his neighbor,
But he will render aid in your labor;
Nor take a reproach against his neighbor,
Rather he will help you with a favor;
In whose eyes a vile person is contemned,
For that is one who for life is condemned;
But he honor them that fear the Lord,
For the blessings bestowed are his reward;
He that puts not out his money to spend,
Nor would take reward against a friend;
He that do these things are unaffected,
And God will ensure that he is protected.
