You shall love the God with all your heart,
And with all your soul and mind to impart;
Jesus said to Love your neighbor as yourself,
Regardless if they may be poor or pelf;
But someone asked, And who is my neighbor?
Jesus answering as He stood by the door;
A man went down to Jericho from Jerusalem,
Some thieves decided to make a problem;
They stripped and wounded him nearly dead,
Left him bleeding as they went and fled;
A certain priest saw him along the route,
He crossed over to pass by as to doubt;
A Levite came and looked at him in shock,
Then passed by as if the man was a rock;
But a Samaritan saw him and had compassion,
He bound up his wounds with much passion;
He took care of him by taking him to an inn,
Told the host he'll pay what cost has been;
Which of them was the neighbor do you reckon,
And Jesus told them to do the same to beckon.
