A flame on the wick
Told the candlestick,
I want to rise very high
And
Touch the bright blue sky.
So just let me go
For
You must surely know,
Those who rise above
Do not need anyone's Love.
They rise without
A helping hand
And
Take their individual stand.
Lovingly the candle
Smiled and said,
“Go ahead my child”
Then pulled back the wick,
The flame flickered on the stick,
It tried to live and relax,
but could not
Without the wick and wax.
The flame realized its mistake,
The World is here for
Give and Take.
The candle
Which always fed the flame
Put forward a simple claim,
“I always thought you knew
That I have no value without you
And you can not live without me,
Together we create light to see,
Together we spread the light
in the dark long night.
So dear,
You can rise as much,
But
Don't ever forget,
To
Keep in Touch."
