I can only see in others
The traits I myself possess
My children, friends and brothers
Their my teachers...they're my test
If I do not like who someone is
The finger points back at me
I'm not at peace with that part of myself
That part...I don't want to see
I then ask my God for courage
To face my darker side
Become aware, repent and share
No longer run or hide
I'm forever grateful for this insight I'm aware
It will forever change my life
So with others I want to share
We can only see in others
Traits we ourselves possess
Our children, friends and brothers
They're our teachers...they're our test
