Faith is assurance for things to hope for,
A conviction of unseen things but are sure;
For those things witnessed by older ones,
On stories that they passed unto their sons;
By faith we know the start by God's Word,
We know not by sight and only have heard;
By faith Abel's better sacrifice than Cain,
A witness was borne in him of a blood stain;
By faith Enoch should not see death's door,
Translation pleased God as witness before;
Pleasing God by faith has a great potential,
If wanting God to reward you it's essential,
By faith Noah inspired him to built an ark,
Became heir of righteousness to embark;
By faith Abraham obeyed God with a test,
God gave inheritance prior to end of quest;
By faith Moses led them as God planned,
To finally make it into the promise land;
By faith many others have let God lead,
For He already knows what we do need.
