Remembrance of Penance

What a dark and dreary day that has eclipse,
Such bright thoughts with my heart and lips;
I think about only bright and sunny times,
Of cheerful thoughts while hearing chimes;
Such a sound reminds me of the time when,
A change in my life occurred back then;
For I it happened during church service,
Legs feeling weak that it made me nervous;
I heard a strange voice come into my head,
It firmly cemented in my mind what was said;
The voice said to me repent from your past,
I have a plan for you that will ever-last;
You've a good heart just that tend to stray,
There's too much lust in you shift your way;
You lie and cheat because of the greed,
And then finding women to sow your seed;
So change your way to await my treasure,
It'll be worth more than earthly pleasure;
As I heard it the chimes started to sound,
That's why my heart filled with joy abound.
