Reflections In The Water

I query, of you, crystal waters
What within your ripples, do I see?
Could this be the teary eyes...
Of a woman that looks like me?

Is that sadness coloring her cheek?
Tell me how can this be true?
Is this some kind of trickery...
Mastered by your telling blue?

Is it her two lips that quiver so
Or is it your wind blown quake
Do you warp her smile deceivingly
Swear this is not her true ache

Reflections in the water...
Within your clarity I beg to see
For a moment, may I at least pretend
To see someone else but me...
