My Daily Rut

Taking Time for God

We are living such a busy and hectic life,
Filled with all kinds of worries and strife;
Getting up and out at the crack of dawn,
Driving on the road and having to yawn;
Fighting expressway traffic left and right,
It seems like that guy cut me off for spite;
It's really irritating just that you know,
Traffic moving at a pace extremely slow;
I actually feel that it'd be faster to walk,
I need to switch the radio for I hate rock;
Finally get to the office though I'm late,
I fear that the boss maybe a little irate;
The boss not watching and able to sneak,
Actually it's the second time for this week;
Phones are ringing paperwork stack rising,
Computers were to make paper downsizing;
It's 5 o'clock and there's traffic to fight,
I get in the car but then I thought I might;
Stop at that church near the home tonight,
I need to talk to God making things alright.
