Changed Lives

I wake up wondering what this will bring,
A joy fills my heart and begins to sing;
Because I am touched in a certain way,
That has changed my life never to dismay;
For the Lord our God is within my heart,
Always within me never to depart;
Ever since accepting Jesus as my savior,
My life has changed and my behavior;
For I use to be hateful and full of spite,
Disposition really never was that bright;
I seemed to always have gloom and doom,
Thinking negative since leaving the womb;
Growing up I just whined and complained,
Restriction that felt as if I were chained;
But as an adult I found a life even worse,
Feeling all against me like I had a curse;
Then one day I was asked to go to church,
It felt like I could finally end my search;
Repenting and giving Jesus Christ my life,
Finally ended my all of my grief and strife.
