A New Respect For Lonely
You go out on your own girl,
Suddenly I find,
I'm to be all-alone,
A shadow lost to time.
Life seemed crystal clear,
I never even blinked,
Oh but don't that go to show?
That one's heart only knows,
What the mind tells it to think.
You get a new respect for lonely,
When you suddenly find,
Even love tied so tightly,
Can unravel, and leave you in a bind.
With a new respect for lonely,
Tears find a way,
To flood your heart,
As loneliness tears your world apart,
Never lets you get away.
All the smiles are gone to sad,
My soul has all but died,
With every hope I ever had,
Who'd know you'd change your mind.
But, now you should look out girl,
Because you really never know,
What starts out in a smile,
Can become heartache in awhile,
And rob you of your soul.
You get a new respect for lonely,
When you suddenly find,
Even love tied so tightly,
Can unravel, and leave you in a bind.
With a new respect for lonely,
Tears find a way,
To flood your heart,
As loneliness tears your world apart,
Never lets you get away.
