Goodnight Blue
Twilight paints across its canvas of sky
My lips reach for yours, a tender Goodnight
Safe in your arms I'll be 'til I wake
Love found in sweet dreams, I shall not forsake
Clouds be my pillows, a head lain to rest
A heart held in lucidity, beating soft in my chest
Fingertips like whispers, graze across my face
Your sigh but a love song, my mind can not erase
Warmth from a blanket, our bodies entwined
Morning is steadfast, bringing sunlit rays so unkind
So as I slip into slumber, just one more I love you
Know my heart is always with you, So Goodnight Blue
