 Blood Under That Asian Moon

Listen! Listen!
Can you hear him scream?
There he goes again, deep,
deep in my nightmarish dream.

Sounds and sights of the distant jungle night,
an eerie flickering from a pop flare's light.
Movement near the wire, another pop flare
and there they are!!

Just a quick silhouette under that Asian moon.
Rat-a-tat-tat! Rat-a-tat-tat!
There he lies, dying,
dying at an age too soon.

My first kill!
Oh, the anguish!
I feel ill!

Do or die!
Him, or I!
Does that really justify?

That Asian war goes on and on,
in the back of my mind.
This nightmare will be mine,
until the end of my time.
