Seeds of Longing
Planted now in my head
Nurtured and cultivated
By every good-bye that's said

Sprouting so quickly
Yes I know you must go
Each time you leave me
Seeds continue to grow

A tiny bud emerges now
As you speak your love
Soft buds wilt with sorrow
Reduced to a small aching nub

What tilled fertile soil
My mind has now become
Seeds of longing growing
So fast every one
