Forgiving Others

Mark 11:25

When you are praying, please forgive,
If you have aught against any who live;
That your Father also who is from above,
Forgive you and bless you with His love;
If no answers come from your prayers,
Please do not worry because God cares;
Check yourself to be honest and thorough,
If you have resentments may foreshadow;
The spiritual power cannot pass through,
An attitude of resentment that is in view;
Hate is a non-conductive type of fence,
That can really make you feel very tense;
Any responses from God will be blocked,
Almost as if your mind's door is locked;
It is a barrier that is able to withstand,
The blessings from God and His plan;
When you pray let these words also instill,
"Lord, take my thought of all the ill will;
Grudges and hate that cloud my thought,
Clear a way freeing me from the onslaught."
