God did not give us a spirit to be afraid,
But of power and love that will not fade;
You do not need to go through your life,
That's filled with fear and so much strife;
You may ask then how can you be free,
It's a very simple to get your decree;
Remember that faith cancels out fear,
That will give you strength to persevere;
True faith continues to grow and expand,
That will help as you meet the demand;
Spiritual power will be flowing through,
And will fear no evil for God is with you;
Love overcomes any fear that remains,
For your faith and love always sustains;
Acting loving will promote the confidence,
In remembering God with your obedience;
Dependence for God will build deep within,
Building the trust and guarding against sin;
Live on the thought of being in God's care,
For within you will truly find solace there.
