Full Armor

Ephesians 6:13

You need to put on God's full armor,
Standing strong against an evil seducer;
We are not just talking about our army,
That would fight such a tempting enemy;
It is about every Christian, woman or man,
That prays to God and follows His plan;
Arming yourself in faith as an old warrior,
Prepared for temptations with a barrier;
Strength and protection is from the Lord,
A weapon for the battle is His Holy Word;
The armor that is girded is of the truth,
Protecting you against evil that is uncouth;
Breastplate of righteousness is assurance,
Against the evil that is always in defiance;
Shield of faith is for the heart to protect,
In order for all the afflictions to deflect;
The helmet of salvation is for a clear head,
Blocking negative thoughts trying to imbed;
The sword of the spirit so shiny and bright,
To strike evil with God's power and might.
