Reconciling for PeaceMatthew 5:21-24 You have heard it said to the men of old, "You shall not kill,"as the Scriptures told; Whoever kills shall be liable to judgment, With God, you only one pretrial settlement; Pray to God, confessing your guilt and sin, But everyone needs to be cleansed within; If you are being angry with your brother, Be liable to judgment from your Father; Insult your brother and be liable in court, And God will really want to see the report; And whoever says, "You Fool!" to anyone, You shall be liable to Hell Fire of the sun; If you are offering your gift at the altar, Clean your slate first or you may falter; If your brother has something against you, Make amends with him to clear up the issue; Reconcile with your brother of what's wrong, Make peace, not allow a conflict to prolong; Once you have made peace and spirit uplift, Then come to the altar and offer your gift.
