Birthday Shopping For Mom

I stop into the florists
I say I'd like some roses please
Please pick the purest pink you have
And do wrap them carefully

You see this gift is oh so special
I'll tell you this from the start
I only want the most perfect flowers
To match her beautiful heart

Maybe I should buy some chocolates
Yes they must certainly be sweet
But I would need a thousand boxes
To compare to what she means to me

So I'll try to pick a card out
I know what it needs to say
It has to say I love you Mom
May you have a very special day

I keep on birthday shopping
But no single gift would do
I only want the perfect gift
To say that I love you

I think I'll write her a poem
And I'll give it my very best
I just want to wish her Happy Birthday
From this heart that's in my chest
