Feast at your table

Feast at your table.

I did feast at your table,
Though my chair was far too small.
I have danced at your banquette,
But I heard no music call.
I have touched the hand of money,
But it felt so very wrong.
I have been to mountains heaven,
But the fall was far to long.
I once knew of life’ kindness,
While evil swirled around.
Once I heard an Angel sing,
But hate destroyed her sound.
I have even known of true love,
But lost it all too sin.
So now I live a lonely life,
With a love I cannot win.
