Thanks Mum
I cried a little more today Mum, knowing that you had gone,
While thinking about your life and all that you had done.
I wanted so much to be able to thank you,
For this life that you gave me
For my dreams which have always saved me.. from sorrow.
For the strength of my mind…
To do what’s always kind and thoughtful.
For the beauty that I see,
For all I wish to be.. tomorrow.
For all I’ve lost and found
For every sight and every sound.
For the day and for the night..
For all that’s dark… all that’s bright.
For my children which I see..
A little you… a little me..
I thank you.
There is so much more to say
If only to thank you in every way.
From your son whose heart is sad
For my loss and for my Dad.
Whose lives will carry on… much sadder now your gone.
You were so much more to me than all the world could see
And I’ll miss you Mother dear..
Every moment of every year.
