Acquiring Peace

Colossians 3:15

Let the peace of the Lord rule your heart,
Be ever thankful, understanding to impart;
Peace of the heart and mind is a privilege,
Giving your faith its strength and courage;
A God given gift that's your responsibility,
For maintaining a true sense of serenity;
Take a moment for meditating and pray,
For your anxiety and stress to go away;
Ask God to please make you fully aware,
Of something that's still full of despair;
Examine yourself about peace of mind,
And where you still have axes to grind;
Concentrate on where the peace you lack,
But please don't let that be your setback;
He promised you the privilege of peace,
For all your stress and anxiety to cease;
Put your trust in Him to keep His promise,
That His peace will keep your heart joyous;
Allow nothing to rob you of His blessing,
That'd cause your life to be oppressing.
