Forgiveness Through ConfessionPsalm 103:12 As far as the east stretches from the west, That's how much you will have been blest; And distance God removes all of our sin, For you to enter into a new life to begin; When God forgives, He also will forget, That is when He will bury the hatchet; Once it's buried, God leaves it that way, He doesn't dig it up, in the ground to stay; With God's forgiveness, you are set free, For He has given you a pardon to decree; Reflect on what is in your heart and mind, Is there anyone that you've been unkind? That burden remains heavy within you, Secrets deep within hidden from view; Confessing takes a chip off your shoulder, Before it grows and turns into a boulder; Forgiveness is a non-judgmental love, When you confess to our Father above; His forgiveness has no strings attached, It is the only real love that's unmatched; Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2004 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
