May I feel Thy "Peace, be Still!"
In a world of care on every hand
Where fear our peace would steal.
May I seek Thy precious Calm
In Thy words, "Peace, be Still!"
When faced with financial loss
Or snowed by a mountain of bills,
May I rely on the power of
Thy Grand words, "Peace, be Still!"
When sin has so tainted my life,
Having strayed from the Father's Will,
As I seek Forgiving Grace
Speak to me, "Peace, be Still!"
When gripped by Life's infirmities
That would strip of health and will,
Oh Thou Great Physician, please
Prescribe thy "Peace be Still!"
When Death takes a Loved One
And emptiness is all we feel,
Help us find Thy inner peace,
Through Thee say, "Peace, be Still!"
By the Power of Thy "Peace, be Still!"
As we fully trust in Thee,
May You calm each scene of Life
Now 'til Eternity!
