Defining Love

Ephesians 5:25

Husbands love your wives to show respect,
As Christ loved the church and to protect;
He gave Himself up for her as to thrive,
Making the church to grow for to survive.
Do you know what love really does mean?
Is it something visible or strictly unseen?
Is love just within our hearts or our minds?
Is there mystical powers that spellbinds?
Can you see it during open heart surgery?
How can you tell if it's real or a forgery?
Too many times lust does get confused,
As well as numerous time love is abused;
For our emotions attempt in running away,
When our Heavenly Father tells us to stay;
It's a natural tendency for being deceived,
Between love and lust what to be believed;
Remember that true love is a selfless act,
Showing no lustful emotions which is fact;
For God so loved the world to give His Son,
Whoever trusts has everlasting victory won.
