Mothers Day

Today is like any other day…
Sometimes the sun comes shining through.
Sometimes I feel the rain on my face…
While I sit and think of you.
Today I heard a bird sing…
As he bathed in drops of rain,
The clouds up high spun webs of silk…
And I thought of you again.
Mother… no longer you’re with me,
Though I know in my heart that you hear.
You gave me the right… to find peace in the night,
To conquer all of my fears.
I will try to be honest and truthful…
And honour all that you are….
My mother in all that I could be,
My mother, how near or how far.
