Debt Payment

Hebrews 10:14 - 17

He has perfected forever by one offering,
Those who are holy with a soul purifying;
With the Holy Spirit looking as a witness,
Forgetting the iniquities be surely bless;
God paid our fine for love to set us free,
The body of Jesus Christ nailed to a tree;
Twas a day of atonement being on the cross,
As God's way for reconciliation with a loss;
To a holy place did Jesus for our salvation,
Change all believers become a new creation;
Jesus was really a sin offering sacrificed,
A payment for all our sins was high priced;
Blood on the cross as a sacrificial altar,
In a time when an entire nation did falter;
Perhaps Jesus Christ was really a scapegoat,
On a heavy burden of sin Israel had to tote;
Of a very sinful nation that had to confess,
And then to banish them into the wilderness;
God wanted to make amends and to forgive,
So we can rest our souls and able to live.
