Love from the CrossJohn 15:12 & 13 Love one another as Jesus has loved you, Greater love has no one for this to pursue; To lay down one's own life for his friends, Knowing of life everlasting love never ends. We have different meanings for the cross; For some it means of new life after a loss; As being a symbol of faith around the neck, Reminding us of hope through life's trek; The cross is displayed around our cities, Even tattooed to the flesh of human bodies; But for Jesus the cross meant so much more, Filled with pain, suffering with much gore; Giving us faith is God's way to take death, Into a symbol of hope after the last breath; To demonstrate that life still does thrive, With a renewed spirit that remains alive; Your very own dreams should never die, Never to give up on hope or ever ask why; Think about what the cross means to us, God's way in turning a minus into a plus.
