Saving is God's EffortEphesians 2:8 & 9 By God's grace through faith you're saved, This is not of your doing that you engraved; Rather as a gift from God our Heavenly Host, Not man-made and that no man should boast; We tend to take credit for everything we do, And then we never take in the entire view; We think being saved through human effort, Forgetting God's compassion and comfort; Just going to church and attending service, That God will forgive our sins and bless us; The situation is it does not work like that, To think so you're talking through your hat; Salvation does not come from man or beast, The source is from God and not a priest; It's a gift from God that we need to accept, Through Jesus Christ our Lord for concept; A salvation that gives each of us a relief, And Jesus Christ is God's Son in our belief; As a planned sacrificed when He was sent, For requesting forgiveness as we repent.
