Cobwebs

All she ever wanted was someone to hold
Someone to see what she was inside
To show her the light of ever~lasting love
Someone to wipe the cobwebs from her eyes

It was like she was living in an endless sleep
Trying to find her way out of the dark
Praying that someone would rescue her
Paying the price with her heart

All she needed was a gentle touch
A reassuring word and a gentle embrace
A simple hand to erase the pain
Remove the tears falling down her face

What would you do with this tragedy?
Would you show her the love to set her free?
Or would you leave her to walk in the shadows
With cobwebs being all that she can see....
