Wishing

(For my sweet love....love you Blue)

I only wish just for a moment
To be able to hold your heart
To feel it's soft beat in my hands
Just to cherish it from the start

But I can't help but wonder
If I held this treasure so sweet
If I could hold it tenderly enough
Or close enough to me

I only wish just for a moment
To trace each line on your face
To touch your lips with trembling fingers
And dream of your embrace

But I can't help but wonder
Would I beg then for your kiss?
And touch your face with captured breath
Making sure each line I did not miss

I only wish just for a moment
To be able to dry your tears
To replace it with your precious smile
Every day over the years

But I can't help but wonder
If within your smile I'd be lost
Trapped within its beauty again
But I reach for it depsite the cost

I only wish just for a moment
To speak of my love for you
To see the joy in your eyes
As I cherish all you do

This time I can not wonder
For my heart whispers true
And now I find I can not hide
This love I feel for you
