Passion of Thought

Philippians 3:10

I want to know Christ and the Resurrection,
The power and fellowship and the affection;
Share not just a glory of eternal offerings,
Rather as well in sharing of His sufferings.
Christ is Risen Yes He has Risen indeed,
As in the spring to plant the eternal seed;
We have a valuable benefit that at a price,
Take the life of God's Son for a sacrifice;
Too often we are thinking of joy we sustain,
Unknowingly a sorrow along with the pain;
Really we're like a bunch of selfish brats,
Our greed just wants to benefit as fat cats;
We do not understand what Jesus underwent,
With the beating and torture and torment;
Every one of us needs to take His place,
Then afterwards see a mirror of our face;
To know Him is to love Him as once said,
And feel a thorny crown on top of our head;
When thinking of Passion try to appreciate,
What took place for our sins to alleviate?
