Star Bright

A kaleidoscope of a billion points of light,
explode in the purple heavens as the dark
shades make their final evening flight.

Starlight twinkles and shines from a distance
too far for even the human mind to cipher in
a lifetime. Space and distance so vast that
only God could have made such a cast.

A lifetime in this realm is equivalent to a single
raindrop in  the fury of a hurricane. Insignificant,
infinitely small.

Life on this tiny planet may endure
through a few fleeting days gone by…
Yet… its value to God can only be
counted by the number of stars
shining in the purple evening sky.
