What is it!!!

What is it!
Your'e suddenly wide awake…
there’s nothing or no one there!
But  you feel a presence in the
darkened room.

This  chilling feeling you’ve
 had before,  this unexplainable
presense that’s seeped under
 your bedroom door.

The air feels cold and damp,
like the inner sanctum of a
vaulted tomb.

You sit up in bed and try to
take a deep breath, and quickly
pull the covers up around your head.

You hold your breath
waiting, waiting and
waiting…
Your heart pounds
so loud your can hear
it pulsating

 If this keeps up your'e
going to be a nervous
wreck.

There’s no sound,
no movement,
nothing,  just that
strange sensation,
that void.

It’s gone as quick as
it had come!!

What was it?
Was it an ancient ghost,
a wondering spirit in the
night, an Angel?
What the devil was it?

Hopefully…
just something you ate!
