Like A Beacon Shines
Upon A Stormy Night.
SHOW YOURSELF TO ME,LORD
I AM CALLING ON YOU LORD,
I KNOW THAT YOU HEAR MY CRY;
YOU SEE MY HEART IS BREAKING
WHY WON'T YOU HELP ME . . .WHY?
EVERYDAY, THERE IS A NEW TRIAL,
I FEEL SO LOW, AND BEATEN DOWN;
I NEED TO FEEL YOUR LOVE NOW LORD,
REMOVE THE CHAINS THAT HAVE ME BOUND!
PLEASE COME AND TALK WITH ME NOW,
LET ME KNOW THAT YOU ARE NEAR;
LET'S SIT TOGETHER IN THE SUNSHINE,
DRIVE AWAY THIS HURT AND FEAR!
YOU PROMISED YOU WOULD NEVER LEAVE,
AND I BELIEVE ALL YOU SAID;
I'D NEVER WANT TO WALK ALONE,
I NEED YOU GUIDING . . . AHEAD!
SOMETIMES I TURN AWAY FROM YOU,
AND ACT WORLDLY, IN MY WAYS;
BUT I'M LIKE THE PRODIGAL SON LORD,
COMING BACK, AFTER HE STRAYS.
SO PLEASE ANSWER MY CRY LORD,
I AM PLEADING . . . ON BENDED KNEE;
COME AND SHOW YOURSELF TO ME,
LET ME PROVE MYSELF TO THEE
