Dear Journal,
It's me again,
Checking in like an old friend
Letting you know how my day went,
How my time today was spent.
It was a day of mixed blessings,
Which one could not predict by guessing.
Some I depended on just didn't show,
Which complicated things, don't you know!
But as a pleasant surprise, the first in several days
I was granted an unexpected raise!
I also attended a luncheon today,
With good food and company in fine array.
There also moments to be aggravated,
But these seemed by the good abated.
So I will mark this page with a smile,
Thank you for listening all the while.
I'm glad to share it, and let others know,
This day was a good one, such as my days go!
