Pretend

Pretend
Where do I go from here
Has suddenly
Become my worst fear
Wondering each morning
as I wake
How much more
Can I take
Some of us are weak
Some are strong
Yet some of us never belong
So I ask you
Is this life real
Is this to be all
We shall ever feel
If life is only
Deep in the mind
Love and happiness
We shall never find
So will this be
Where it shall end
Or should we go on
And just pretend.
