Troubles
It’s the wee hour of morn,
as I set here thinking of a
world so full of scorn.
The images just keep
popping into my head;
Kidnappers,
murderers,
drunk drivers,
dope addicts,
child abusers.
Terrorism,
Wars, floods,
fires, starvation,
The elderly falling
through the cracks of
government bureaucracy.
Homeless,
helpless and
the hopeless.
Thieves in high places,
Taxes, medical bills,
Government loans to
countries unknown.
Children lost …
add up the cost.
The sun is rising…
it’s the dawning
of a new day!
I don’t know,
but I’ve heard people say…
this old world can’t go
on much longer this way!
What do you think?
