She's a girl in a glass jar
Trying to break free
Labeled normal on the outside
Yet filled with insecurity

Put there by her fear
Topped off with intrepidation
Mingled with a hint of tear
Such an intriguing creation

Tucked up on a shelf
Hiding her true self away
Just a girl in a glass jar
How did she ever get this way
