Solid Rock Foundation

Matthew 7:24-27

Whosoever hears these Words and abides,
Christ regards him as wise as he decides;
For it is wise upon the rock for to build,
A house that is firm and solid be instilled;
As storms descended and the floods came,
The house fell not and remaining the same;
Whosoever does not abide after they hear,
Being considered as a fool and insincere;
For the fool builds upon the shifting sand,
A foundation of a house can not withstand;
Flood waters rise as a storm approached,
Eroded foundation as waters encroached.
A firm foundation needed for in our lives,
To expect as with a house that it survives;
The solid rock is the Holy Word from God,
Guiding through a lifestyle that is flawed;
Abiding within it keeps a foundation secure,
In facing trials and tribulation to endure;
Your rock turns into sand when you ignore,
No hope for the future loosing your Savior.
