Brain Storming

What once was silence
Dormant in the past
Finds a storm brewing
I pray it lasts

A swirl of words
Like torrents of rain
Beating upon paper
Like drops on the pane

A roll of thunder
Like a brimming thought
Within this storm
I find myself caught

Lightning dances
Flashes over the sky
Bright as the idea
I see in my eye

Now as prose falls
Paper a symbolic pane
Another piece written
Bringing peaceful refrain
