Through The Eyes Of A Child

Through the eyes of a child
A perfect world they do see
When skies painted in turqoise
Dance upon grasses of green

Where a sun of bright yellow
Shines with no cloud overhead
And the ebonies of nightfall
Find them tucked in their bed

Where flowers in their gardens
Become a rainbow in Spring
There is nothing more glorious
Than the color of butterfly wings

Through the eyes of a child
A perfect world they do see
A world we lose sight of as adults
Yet return to in our dreams
