Shadow
I must fight for the light
No matter what words the throw at me,
I can't let them cover me in shadow
The cannot harm me
I dwell in the light
The shadow they drape over me shall be overrun by the light of my world
They still try to put me in darkness,
where I weep and rivers form,
While light never peeks through the shadow
Their words are a poison,
An infectious disease
But the light that glows around me is an ointment
It will not let the poison of darkness take me over, for I am stronger than their words
Their shadow can't harm me
I dwell in the light that pierces through the darkness
