Honoring God in Other Ways

Proverbs 14:31-34

He that oppresses the poor, rebukes God,
Never praises Him giving honor and laud;
He who honors God has mercy on the poor,
Showing compassion with opening a door;
As evil is cast out the righteous have hope,
For wisdom in their heart views full scope;
The righteous exalts a nation and its race,
While sin humiliates them being in disgrace.
We can honor God in many different ways,
Not just with our prayer in giving praise;
Think about a beggar man along the street,
Do you think that God is only for the elite?
Just the other day as I was taking a walk,
A Korean beggar man sat on a large rock;
Holding out his hand for a possible cash,
I was checking my pockets for some stash;
Had no coins and told him sorry in Korean,
But then got out my wallet a thousand won;
As I gave, he said in English "God bless you!"
Only worth 90 cents, but to God more value.
