My soul clings to dust to grasp His Word,
The teachings of His statutes to be heard;
With an understanding of all His precepts,
Talking about all His wondrous concepts;
Icy burden upon my soul begins to melt,
As warming strength of His Word is felt;
I ask God to block ways of deceit and lies,
Replacing with His laws to make me wise;
I have chosen the way of truth and light,
Of His judgment knowing as just and right.
The way to the truth is your daily choice,
You can either whine or you can rejoice;
For rejoicing will bring a desire to learn,
A continuing flow of His Word you yearn;
Melting the cold heartedness deep inside,
Replacing with the warm of love to abide;
The Word of the Lord opens new doors,
That can help you with your daily chores;
It is a choice in making His truth your way,
Or living in the depths of despair everyday.
