I've read tattered pages
In a book of dreams
Proving the harshness
Of reality

A book of wishes
Hopes and wants
So many whispered
All forgot

Stars selected
Deep in the night
For peace in this world
Wrongs made right

I've read each page
Held this dusty cover
Stained with tears
Unlike any other

I come to the end
Or so it seems
Something has changed
In this book of dreams

I saw the tears
Through every chapter
Yet you've changed the ending
To happily ever after
