Autumn

The sun sets earlier now,
the hot summer days
have taken their last
heated bow.

A cool Autumn breeze
blow gently through
the tall oak…
sending a shower
of golden leaves to
blanket mother earth
in a multicolored cloak.

The bees, butterflies,
and humming birds
are hastily gathering
their last bounty, as
everyone awaits the
big fair in the county.

Pumpkins of orange,
and corn of yellow,
apples sweet and red,

Summer has come and gone,
Autumn is here instead.
