Jesus Your Mentor

John 5:37-42

Neither hearing His voice when spoken to,
Nor seen His face when He looks at you;
For the Word of God does not abide within,
With it being cluttered too much with sin;
Believing not reasons for Christ was sent,
For giving you an eternal life if you repent;
In searching the Scriptures to find out why,
Not paying attention to those which testify;
You refuse to invite Christ entry to abide,
Cleansing throughout where sins can hide;
For Christ receives not honor He should,
For the love of God not in you as it could.
Your faith has faded since you do not hear,
As well as His image never does appear;
By your own choice you are deaf and blind,
Your anger no longer allows you to be kind;
Still there is hope and that all is not at lost,
Removing your sins is all that it will cost;
Repent to God and let Jesus Christ to enter,
Then just allow Him for to be your mentor,
